| Solway Lass Review - Whitsunday Islands - We sailed on the Solway Lass 9th/12th Feb 2008. The weather could have been kinder, we had rain rain and even a cyclone didn't spoil it for us. The crew were all fantastic great fun and totally professional. Mikey, Tess, Chris and Shelley, while Marcus the skipper deserves a special mention for reading the weather so well and seeking shelter in Nara Inlet from the cyclone we were definately in safe hands. We will be back but not in the rainy season. For Andrew it was a welcome return to Tall Ship sailing, for me it was a first but as I was born beside the Solway Firth it was like being a part of local history for Jamie at 20 it was fun and adventure all the way. We recommend this Tall Ship experience to all. |
